In 2010, Merck donated $51 million in market value of medicines and vaccines (excluding donations made to ACHAP) through well-established partnerships to help patients globally. These donations supported a health worker vaccination program in Tanzania; provided disaster assistance in Haiti, Pakistan and Guatemala; and reached many thousands more worldwide through the ongoing medical programs of our partner private voluntary organizations (PVOs).
