The Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) has recognized our construction safety performance as "best in class" by awarding Merck two CURT awards in 2010. Merck has received nine CURT awards since 2005.

We also received the Factory Mutual Safety award for construction safety excellence on our Carlow Ireland project in 2010. And the North Carolina Department of Labor has awarded Merck and its construction managers the "OSHA Building STAR" for four projects at our manufacturing site in Durham, N.C. We have received this award in each of the past three years.
